If you still want the plugin to be useful by older RB versions then
you cant use the RBX format for those old versions.
I think that's the gist of the question.
No RBX has been around for quite a while, I don't think we support in
new plugins any REALbasic version that does not support RBX. So there
is no good reason for me not to use RBX also for the Mac except few
reasons like: 1) Users hate the RBX because there is no obvious version
info in it. 2) I dislike the concept of rbx because they are very slow.
There were some other valid points which are no longer valid, such as
our copy protection used to depend on it on the Mac. But thats no
longer the case.
So for me I can without and mayor problem switch to using only rbx if
that is the trend.
