What do people think about using Xcode vs CodeWarrior for building
RealBasic plugins?
Xcode is a little bit more work, especially for cross-platform
plugins, since it can only compile Mach-O plugins (OS X only).
You'll need to also get a Windows development environment for
developing the Windows version of your plug-in. But, otherwise, it's
all pretty similar.
I'm presently using RB 5.5.2. Should I upgrade to 5.5.5 and would
this be helpful for using Xcode?
That's a free update, not an upgrade, and yes, you should certainly
do so. I recommend always getting the free maintenance updates; why
deal with bugs that have already been fixeds?
Best,
