Funny, I just joined this list because I was running into the same
problem:
I was playing around with the Plug-In SDK, and using the "Xcode
Mach-O Template" example, I was able to build a simple one-method
plugin that works in 5.5.5 just fine. When I moved it into RB
2005, it crashes RB on startup. So I went back and built an empty
plug-in (just build the default template as is), and this also
crashes RB. What am I doing wrong?

I tried the new RB2005 and it quits on launch. The problem is a
plugin: it is a very simple one with a single function, created with
the latest SDK, converted with Plugin converter to rbx. This plugin
(and my older ones) work just fine with RB5.5.5.
Is there anything specific that needs to be adjusted to plugins to
make them compatible with RB2005?
