My question is what is the reason for leaving a development for plugins with a software package like codewarrior which is not supporting us anymore. Very sad for plug in writers. Also their sdk kit only has code for CW and if your using on older version the conversion process, which is not a clean one wipes out all the settings needed to make a plugin.

Um, we haven't stuck you with CW as your only option. You can use XCode, gcc, VC++ and mingw for creating plugins for REALbasic. And, AFAIK (which can be very little when it comes to plugins on certain days), there's at least one example for each of those other compilers.

It just so happens that CW was the best option around when the SDK was first released, and so it's been the main option for developing plugins. Since it was the first environment supported by our SDK, it stands to reason that it has the most example projects.
