So you think this is a war here? Oh my, Theo, grow up!
"Against" != "war".
As for growing up... I try to make sure every word I say, I mean. I
don't go around saying things I don't and can't mean.
You on the other hand, I remember your little event when you
publically stated how you will leave REALbasic community forever
because RS is so <Blablabla> (I forgot the accusations they didn't
seem worth remembering), and how you will no longer support your
plugins as some form of punishment to the RB community for not doing
as you demanded of them.
How childish is that?
It was basically like "oh no I'll leave you if you don't do as I say
seeing as you need me so much." Real manipulation.
It was obvious from the start that you couldn't even have meant what
you were saying.
And look, surprise, here you are back again in the RB community.
Seems I was right, you DIDN'T mean what you said.
You have this stupid habit of holding grudges for trivial things that
weren't even used. And yet if I were to be as judgemental as you I
could quite probably find far more flaws in your work with which to
state that it is not usable. Sometimes I am too much of the bigger
person for my own good, I don't like stooping to their level to give
others a taste of their own medicine.
....
No, what I meant by knowing well enough about who or what is against
me.... well although you are part of this you are also not ALL
against me. It's how people work. They are self-contradictory. They
have a desire for something that becomes so strong it becomes
oppressive to everything else, to eliminate everything but that
particular desire. But each individual has such a great number of
oppressive desires all conflicting each other, that the person loses
all sense of direction. The desires have no choice but to group up
and cooperate despite that they want to oppress each other even
within the individual, because each desire is reliant on the health
of the other desires within the individual.
When you've figured all of that out, it turns out that people aren't
going to be exactly for or against anyone else. For or against in
some particular issue perhaps, but over all it's both positive and
negative.
So in other words, someone can be against me even in one issue and
that is against me, whether or not in other areas they are not.
Like I said. Against != war.
I have no problem with you other than having a trust issue with
you not doing anything that RS does not approve of. Don't take that
so personal! I've said before that I value some of your work,
such as your XML editor and even used some of your earlier source
code in plugins of mine (which are open source as well), and I
mean that. I do not say that you write crap. I say that you do
or did things I do not like. Deal with that. That's what'll
always happen in life that people might not like everything you
do. If you can't deal with that, better stick your head in the
sand. I hope you'll learn to cope with that, though.
