Churr Software Releases Stock Investment Guide 1.5 for Macintosh OS X
HUNTSVILLE, Alabama (April 23, 2004) -- Churr Software has released an
update to Stock Investment Guide (SIG), the only stock club analysis
software for OS X. Made with REALbasic from REAL Software, Inc., Version 1.5
includes significant improvements and enhancements. This update adds online
integration with the Online Premium Service database of more than 10,000
companies. The user enters a stock symbol, clicks a button, then the stock
data is imported directly into SIG. Performing securities analysis for stock
investment clubs has never been easier.
Version 1.5 also adds new capabilities, including a Company Performance
Analysis that analyzes growth for both quarterly and trailing 12-month
periods. SIG also provides automatic links to a company's SEC filings,
earnings estimates, stock news, plus automatic alerts for upcoming earnings
announcements.
Background
SIG can read and write standard .ssg files, plot data on a graph,
automatically update 52-week high and low prices, display S&P 5-year growth
estimates from downloaded .ssg files, print 2-page reports containing visual
and data analyses and more. Because SIG conforms to the S&P data standard,
users can trade .ssg files with other club members using Windows or Mac
computers.
Churr notes that SIG doesn't include data services. The company recommends
that you join the National Association of Investors Corporation
(http://better-investing.org) and pay US$25 per year, in addition their
membership fee. The Online Premium Service provide unlimited downloads of
stock data directly from within the analysis software.
