unveiled the IntelliScanner Scanabout 800, a rechargeable,
Bluetooth®-enabled wireless barcode scanner for both Mac and PC.
IntelliScanner barcode readers are complete solutions for tracking
inventory, collections, and more. The IntelliScanner Scanabout 800 is a
high-performance barcode capture device situated at the top of the
IntelliScanner product line.

construction, high-performance reader scans from a 4-8 inch distance.
- Included Collection software: by scanning the barcode found on books,
DVDs, music, and games, Collection uses Internet data sources to
quickly and automatically download and display detailed product
information and artwork.
- Included Inventory software: customizable, business asset tracking
software includes a SQL-driven database system and 20 ready-to-use
item management templates: Appliances, Art, Books, China, Comics,
Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Electronics, Furniture, General
Inventory, Groceries, Jewelry, Movies, Music, Musical Instruments,
Ornaments, Retail, Toys, Weapons, and Wine.
- Included IntelliScanner Asset Tags -- pre-printed, heavy-duty barcode
tags include a unique barcode value, ready to stick on any object for
efficient object tracking.
- iConfig? reader configuration system: easily configure the scanner
by reading tagged barcodes from the included documentation portfolio.
Custom settings are stored in the scanner's nonvolatile memory chip,
allowing the scanner to be transported without data loss.
- Customizable end-of-scan character, allowing the scanner to
automatically confirm entries or close dialog boxes.
- Customizable, audible/visual scan indicators. The integrated, error
checking decoder only inputs barcodes that are verified accurate.
- Barcode symbology support for Bookland EANs (ISBNs on the backs of
books), EAN-8, EAN-13, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 39, Code 128, Code 11, Code
93, Codabar, Code 32, Interleaved 2 of 5 (I2of5), Industrial 2 of 5,
MSI/Plessey, and RSS14.
- Triggerless scanning, integrated barcode identification, custom data
formatting, barcode symbology specific options, UPC-to-EAN value
conversion, and UPC/EAN price barcode support.
- GTIN (Global Trade Identification Number) / Sunrise 2005 compliant,
ready for current and future barcode technologies, along with
upcoming requirements for 14-character product identifiers.
