HUNTSVILLE, Alabama (September 8, 2004) -- Churr Software has released
an update to Stock Investment Guide (SIG), the only stock club analysis
software for both Macintosh OS X and Windows. Made with REALbasic from
REAL Software, Inc., Version 1.5.5 includes some important enhancements
that will make stock club securities analysis even easier.
Version 1.5.5 includes the following enhancements:
- Improved menus, with company data menu items under "Data," graph menu
items under "Graph," and analysis items under "Analysis."
- Added a Graph menu item to allow Earnings Per Share (EPS) projections
to start from the latest quarter instead of the last yearly EPS.
- Preferred EPS Procedure values may now be modified in the Preferred
Procedure details window.
- Added Total Capitalization and Debt % of Total Capitalization to the
Company Data tab and to the printed report.
- Added a menu that will allow users to email for technical support.
Users are still encouraged to use our help forums.
- Added Average PE as a variable saved in the .ssg data file for use by
the soon-to-be-released Portfolio Analysis software.
- Now saves Total Return in the .ssg data for use in Portfolio Analysis.
- Added a routine to automatically fill in the Years column of the
Annual data table when a user inputs data manually.
- Minor bug corrections
Users who purchased Stock Investment Guide versions 1.0 through 1.5.2
are eligible for this free upgrade.
Background
Stock Investment Guide (SIG), is the only cross-platform solution for
stock investment clubs. SIG fills the void created by the lack of stock
club analysis software for the Mac. Until now, the only way to use such
an application was to run Windows-only software in Virtual PC. Simply
put, the Stock Investment Guide software is the most cost effective
solution for stock clubs.
SIG can read and write standard .ssg files, plot data on a graph,
automatically update 52-week high and low prices, display S&P 5-year growth
estimates from downloaded .ssg files, print 2-page reports containing visual
and data analyses and more. Because SIG conforms to the S&P data standard,
users can trade .ssg files with other club members using Windows or
Macintosh computers.
Churr software notes that SIG doesn't include data services. The company
recommends that you join the National Association of Investors Corporation
(http://better-investing.org) and pay US$25 per year, in addition their
membership fee. The Online Premium Service provide unlimited downloads of
stock data directly from within the Stock Investment Guide software.
