SAN DIEGO, California (October 24, 2004) - HaranBanjo is pleased to
announce the immediate availability of KidzLog 1.2 for Mac OS X and
Windows.
KidzLog 1.2, which is free to all registered users, includes the
following improvements:
* Large pictures are now saved as JPEGs instead of PNGs to reduce their
size. In particular, this should reduce the size of photos.
* Backgrounds can now also have borders with control over the
thickness, color, and style of each border.
* New style buttons in the Write tab of the Post window lets users
style the text of a post.
* Copyright line now correctly shows year range.
* Fixed a bug that could cause pictures to be removed from the server
when publishing.
About KidzLog
KidzLog is a weblog publishing tool for children. Even children who are
just beginning to read and write should be able to create a weblog with
KidzLog. A KidzLog weblog contains chronologically descending posts.
Each post consists of a picture, some text, or both. KidzLog provides a
canvas and painting tools so that children can paint their pictures
directly in KidzLog. Digital photos can also be dragged from a photo
application (such as iPhoto) or the desktop to a KidzLog canvas in
order to be publish as part of a weblog.
KidzLog is a full-featured weblog publishing tool. All web pages use
CSS and an external style sheet for layout. Style and layout options
are controlled by the user. Syndication is provided through an RSS file
that is automatically updated each time a weblog is published. RSS
readers will be able to subscribe to KidzLog weblogs in exactly the
same way as any other weblog. Weblogs can be previewed locally and
published on a remote web server using FTP.
