Brad Rhine releases new Tangelo weblog creation software for Macintosh
and Windows
LANCASTER, Pennsylvania (February 1, 2005) -- Brad Rhine Software
<http://www.bradrhine.com> announces the release of Tangelo, a new
weblog creation application. Tangelo, termed ³web publishing with a
twist,² is a departure from most traditional weblog publishing tools.
Instead of installing or using weblog software on an Internet web
server, Tangelo is installed on the user¹s computer as a standalone
application, providing much easier installation, greater weblog
control, and ease of use. Tangelo streamlines organization of weblog
text and images, and publishes the weblog to both an Internet web
server and to the user¹s own computer for better control and backup. In
addition, Tangelo features integration with NetNewsWire 2.0 for posting
RSS news items. A full description of features can be found at
<http://www.bradrhine.com>.
³We originally developed our Frequency application to talk to the
leading weblog server software systems² says Brad Rhine, ³but we also
saw a need for a weblog system that¹s more easily installed and
maintained right on the user¹s own computer.²
Rhine developed Tangelo as a simple, easily installed desktop PC or
Macintosh application, eliminating the need for complicated web server
installations. ³If you have a web server with simple FTP access, you¹re
all set with Tangelo,² says Rhine. The software organizes text and
images and provides full support for sections, html shortcuts, and
weblog page templates. Tangelo also provides full RSS and Atom support,
and post publishing from NetNewsWire.
User Dave Mancuso adds, ³Where I used to use Frequency with my Radio,
Blogger, and then Movable Type weblogs, I now use Tangelo. I really
like having all my stuff on my own computer, and I like having the
extra control of a desktop application to manage and publish it easily.
Plus, it¹s easy enough to set up that I can get my friends and
relatives up and running with weblogs in no time.²

Tangelo is available through <http//www.bradrhine.com> for the price of
$39.95 for personal use, but purchases made through March 1, 2005 are
