[ANN] REALbasic Developer Magazine Announces Programming Contest

LAFAYETTE, Oregon (Monday, February 14, 2005) -- REALbasic Developer
magazine is pleased to announce the launch of "REALbasic Olympics," an
exciting series of programming challenges for both amateurs and
professionals using the REALbasic development environment.

Each event in this Programming Pentathlon will be open for submissions for
six weeks. Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards will be given to the fastest
programmatic solutions in both Amateur and Professional categories. The
programmer with the most total points after all five events will be crowned
Grand Champion in December 2005.

The contest is free and is open to anyone except the contest organizers. The
first event, "Replacing Styled Text" begins Feb. 14, 2005 and ends April 4,
2005. The complete rules and submission instructions are available at the
REALbasic Olympics website:

Prizes of software and other merchandise from sponsors will be awarded to
Gold medalists in the Amateur category. In addition, one lucky Amateur will
win a prize via a random drawing simply for participating in all five
