Hendrickson Software Components Announces Sp at mX Now Includes Email Filtering
Capability
ARLINGTON, Virginia (April 1, 2005) - Hendrickson Software Components (hsc)
announced today that Sp at mX, the company's popular software for spam source
tracing and reporting, has the added capability to filter email.
Starting with version 3.3, Sp at mX users were collecting data about the spam
that they were receiving in a central database on the hsc server. Sp at mX
version 4.0 uses this data to filter email that is in the users email server
inbox, so that they can process it using Sp at mX without having to download it
to their desktop email inbox.
With this offering, Sp at mX now provides a comprehensive anti-spam solution.
It will filter a user's email so they don't have to see the spam, and report
the source of the spam along with any "spamvertized" URLs so that their spam
level is dramatically reduced. Reporting the spamvertized URLs also gives
Sp at mX a powerful anti-phishing capability.
Sp at mX enables everyone from end users to IT professionals working in complex
networked environments to effectively reduce spam in their email Inbox and
on their network. Sp at mX works by automatically tracing the source of spam
and reporting offenders to their respective Internet Service Providers.
Sp at mX users typically see their spam levels drop to near zero within four
weeks.
