PARADISE, California (April 6, 2005) -- Bit of Paradise Products is
pleased to announce our fifth major update to SonicMood, a background
mood enhancing program created for the Apple Macintosh using REALbasic
from REAL Software, Inc.
SonicMood bathes you in gentle tones played by selected instruments to
calm and relax you while you work on your computer. Like "Mood
Chimes", notes which sound as if produced by chimes blown by the wind,
the patterns never repeat, are gentle and harmonious, and very
soothing. There's 22 different sets of "chimes" using different
instruments, including bells, crystals, kalimbas, glockenspiels,
violins, and many others. You can add your own Moods or edit the 22
existing Moods. You won't find anything like this on a CD.
SonicMood version 3.2 continues with and expands on its "iTunes-like"
operation and appearance. There are lists of Moods like iTune's song
list, the Themes are similar to iTune's PlayLists, "Shuffle Play"
randomly plays Moods, and the user can use drag & drop to reorder
Moods, Themes, and Scenes. SonicMood also supports drag & drop of
Scenes, a "Virtual Chimes" display, complete Mood editing and multiple
Mood files.
Many little touches have been added to make SonicMood more of a
pleasure to use. There's a keyboard so you can sample the instrument
sounds while you create a new musical scale (or just for fun!). You can
create a new Mood file from scratch or merge an existing set of Moods
with your current file. If you have the Help Window open when you Quit
SonicMood, on re-launch it will be restored to exactly where you were.
Now you can close all the windows and SonicMood will play on - and the
bug which caused SonicMood to fall silent after 24+ hours has been
circumvented.
