LecShare Now Shipping – Making PowerPoint Presentations Accessible to
Everyone
Clayton, NC (October 23, 2005) - LecShare, Inc. (http://
www.lecshare.com) announces the release of LecShare 1.0 for Microsoft
Windows and Macintosh. LecShare converts Microsoft PowerPoint
presentations into web pages that meet Federal disability
requirements and into Microsoft Word documents for easy distribution.
LecShare is made with REALbasic from REAL Software, Inc.
Accessible Web Pages from Microsoft PowerPoint
LecShare allows users to easily enter accessibility information
necessary to create web pages from Microsoft PowerPoint that meet
Section 508 standards and WAI’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines
(WCAG). LecShare creates standards compliant XHTML and CSS which is
compatible with virtually any web browser.
Microsoft Word Documents from Microsoft PowerPoint
LecShare also creates Microsoft Word documents containing images of
all the slides from a PowerPoint presentation. The Word document can
be used by the audience to take notes directly on their laptops.
People can now keep the slides and their notes together right on
their computers.
Price
Individual licenses may be purchased online for $39.
Higher Education Site Licenses, which allow an unlimited number of
installations, cost $0.10 per full time enrolled student, both
graduate and undergraduate. The FTE is rounded to the nearest
hundred. There is a $400 minimum on Higher Education Site Licenses.
