LONDON, United Kingdom (March 1, /2006) -- 13flatFIVE announces
today that Squirt is in public beta.
Squirt reads in REALbasic source that has been exported in XML format
from which it generates C++ .
It currently does not attempt to replicate the REALbasic runtime but
instead is aimed simply at converting core algorithms written by the
REALbasic programmer himself. Squirt has a mechanism for easily
setting up definitions for "wrapper" classes for any REALbasic
specific objects such as the GUI.
Squirt is intended primarily for programmers already proficient in C+
+ who have to write C++ code for a living but prefer to code or
prototype in REALbasic. It can be used as a learning tool. Write
some REALbasic code and see how the equivalent C++ would look.
