Surfers Paradise, QLD, Australia (July 11, 2006) -- Sam Rowlands,
freelance developer and shareware author announced the immediate
availability of a new web site, which aims to provide high quality
REALbasic objects. Available today are REALbasic objects that aid
with customer support, preserve and restore color profiles
regardsless of platform, and objects that provide developers with
access to meta data stored in music & picture files.
Audio Meta Data Suite, was designed to enable REALbasic built
applications to read the meta data (such as artist, album and
artwork) from MP3, AAC/MP4/Quicktime and WMA/ASF files. The object
has been built based on real specifications where available to
provide the highest level of compatibility. In addition to being able
to read the meta data from the aforementioned file types, it can also
write ID3 (used in MP3) v1.1 to v2.4.
Image Meta Data Suite, was designed to enable REALbasic built
applications to read the meta data from JPEGs, TIFFs and Photoshop
documents. It was also designed to solve a problem whereby REALbasic
doesn't handle Color Profiles within images. This object will
preserve and then restore the color profile to an image, meaning that
REALbasic made applications no longer have to lose the color profile.
The object is currently being used in iWatermark (http://
www.scriptsoftware.com/iwatermark/) to solve the problem of missing
color profiles. The class currently reads JFIF, TIFF, EXIF,
Thumbnails, Photoshop Tags, GPS, DCT, Color Profiles and
Interoperability.
Machine Information + Error Reporting has matured through the years
of providing customer support on shareware. These objects allow a
REALbasic application to obtain hardware and software information on
the customers computer, to obtain information about runtime
exceptions that may occur, and to insert debug tracking points with
the application. The Error Reporter provides an easy solution for
your customers to send detailed information on any errors or crashes
directly into your mailbox, they also allow for your customer to
effortlessly provide you with their feedback on an application or to
ask you a question.
Apple Remote Interface, is a simple wrapper application for Martin
Kahr's (http://www.martinkahr.com) code to utilize the Apple Remote
(the little white remote control shipped with nearly every new
Macintosh). Accessing the remote directly is not possible from within
REALbasic, so this little application will re-map the button presses
to keydown events allowing any program to now have Apple Remote
ability. This is used in the forthcoming game "Music
Challenge" (http://www.ohanagames.com/musicchallenge/). Apple Remote
Interface has been pre-compiled as a Universal Binary Application and
is available with full source code.
Pricing and Availability

in built applications. To disable the advertising an unlock code can
be purchased from the web site (http://homepage.mac.com/rowlands/
