[ANN] Ohana Games releases "Music Challenge" for the Macintosh, The
first game to use the Apple Remote, test your music knowledge with Gina.
Surfers Paradise, QLD, Australia (August 28th, 2006) -- Ohana Games,
a new casual games company announced the immediate availability of a
new and exciting casual game, "Music Challenge". Test your music
knowledge with friends & family in an exciting game show called
"Music Challenge", integrates with Apple's iTunes, plus a funky show
host named Gina. "Music Challenge" is also the first game to take
advantage of Apple's remote control that now comes as standard on
nearly every Macintosh that they sell.
Join Gina on the beautiful Hawaiian island of Kauai. Prepare for her
to stretch your knowledge of your own music collection. Answering
quickly & correctly earns maximum points. Get all the questions right
and double your points! It becomes more taxing in the later rounds as
you’re given less time, but the points you could earn here make it
worthwhile.
Your Music, Your Game; Music Challenge seamlessly integrates with
Apple's iTunes to access your music. Also features an option for
choosing custom folders which enable Music Challenge to use music
from other media players including iPods. Music Challenge is able to
automatically pause and resume iTunes if you were listening to music
before playing Music Challenge.
Play With Your Friends; Challenge your friends to see who knows the
most about music, up to 4 people can play against each other, let the
game decide who is king of the music.
Album Art; Our favorite question is the album art question, where you
have to answer by selecting the correct album art. We recommend using
Album Cover Finder from http://www.albumcoverfinder.com/ to get Album
artwork.
The First Game to Use the Apple Remote; Which makes it a perfect game
for parties. Next time you have a party, hook the computer up to the
TV & sound system, then party with Gina.
Music Challenge was created using Real Software's REALBasic (http://
www.realbasic.com/), this has enabled Ohana Games to create their
games for both the Macintosh and Windows software platforms. It also
uses Audio Meta Data Suite to read the meta data direct from MP3s and
other Audio files, and Apple Remote Interface to interact with the
Apple Remote control. Both are available from http://homepage.mac.com/
